Nigerian Army to Conduct Range Exercise in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army's 1 Division, under the command of Lt. Col.

Ajemusu Jingina, will conduct its first bi-annual range classification exercise from March 23 to 27, 2026, at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) base in Mando, Kaduna. The exercise aims to enhance the marksmanship skills of officers and soldiers while assessing service weapons.

The 1 Division has urged residents near the NAF base in Mando and surrounding communities not to panic in response to the anticipated sounds of gunshots and troop movements during this period. A statement issued by the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 1 Division emphasized the importance of public awareness and safety, advising members of the public to stay away from the range area throughout the duration of the exercise.

The statement also expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation and understanding of the public regarding these military activities.
