Nigerian Army to Conduct Shooting Exercise in Kaduna

The 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, through a statement issued by the acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Lt. Col.

Ajemusu Jingina, has announced plans to conduct its first bi-annual range classification exercise in 2026. This exercise is scheduled to take place from March 23 to March 27 at the Nigerian Air Force base in Kaduna State.

The primary aim of the exercise is to enhance the marksmanship skills of officers and soldiers while assessing service weapons. The 1 Division has urged residents of the Nigerian Air Force base and neighboring communities not to panic at the sound of gunshots or the movement of troops and equipment during this period.

The division appreciates the continued cooperation and understanding of the residents regarding safety reasons.
