Nigerian Army Arrests 10 Suspected Terrorists in FCT

The Nigerian Army conducted a series of operations leading to the arrest of 10 suspected terrorists in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Benu State. The operations, which included Operation Mesa and Operation Whirl Stroke, were reported on Wednesday.

Troops from the 176 Guard Battalion collaborated with the National Security Adviser’s team to intercept two suspects at a checkpoint in Abaji, who were traveling in a commercial vehicle from Kaduna to Asaba. Additionally, two suspects were arrested in Gwer West Local Government Area during a patrol.

In Nasarawa State, six suspects, including drug peddlers, were apprehended in the Karshi area of Karu Local Government Area. The troops recovered two motorcycles, a locally made pistol, and cartridges during these operations.

The Nigerian Army emphasized its commitment to dismantling criminal networks and improving security across the country.
