Nigerian Army Arrests Over 20 Terror Suspects Nationwide

The Nigerian Army has successfully executed a nationwide offensive against terror networks, resulting in the arrest of over 20 suspects within a 24-hour period. This operation was intelligence-led and involved collaboration with local vigilante groups and security agencies.

In Kogi State, troops from the 12 Brigade, alongside the Nigerian Police, arrested two suspected terrorists and recovered items including motorcycles and a chainsaw. In Kaduna State, troops apprehended a suspect who reportedly confessed to fleeing a terrorist camp.

In Sokoto State, the intervention of troops led to the destruction of a terrorist camp and the recovery of camouflage materials. Additionally, operations in Kwara State resulted in the rescue of three kidnap victims, while in Edo State, five suspects were arrested, and firearms were recovered.

The Nigerian Army reassured the public of its commitment to defeating criminal elements and urged citizens to provide credible information to aid security efforts.
