Army Chief Urges Troops to Uphold Values at Easter Luncheon

During a special Easter luncheon organized for troops of Operation Safe Haven in Jos, Plateau State, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff, called on Nigerian Army personnel to remain steadfast in upholding the institution's core values of honor, responsibility, respect, and adherence to the rule of law. Major General Godwin Mutkut represented the event, where Shaibu extended warm Easter greetings to Christian personnel and their families, highlighting the season's significance of sacrifice and unity among personnel of different faiths.

He paid tribute to those deployed in various operations, reaffirming the leadership's commitment to troop welfare as a central command philosophy. Shaibu acknowledged the support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for welfare initiatives and emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in sustaining national stability.

Major General Folusho Oyinlola praised the troops for their professionalism and restraint during recent security developments, reminding them of the need for continuous alertness in a fluid operational environment.
