Nigerian Army Dismantles Terror Networks in Raids

The Nigerian Army has intensified its nationwide counter-terrorism efforts with a series of coordinated raids across Kogi, Kaduna, and Sokoto States. In Kogi State, troops from the 12 Brigade, in collaboration with local police and vigilantes, stormed hideouts in Kakuma, Ileteju, and Origa, resulting in the arrest of two suspected terrorists and the recovery of two motorcycles and a chainsaw machine allegedly used for criminal activities.

In Kaduna State, troops apprehended a suspect who reportedly fled a terrorist camp following an internal dispute, providing valuable intelligence for ongoing counter-insurgency efforts. In Sokoto State, troops from the COA Intervention Battalion VII, supported by elements from the 8 Division, conducted clearance operations in the Tangaza Local Government Area, destroying several terrorist camps and recovering camouflage materials.

Additionally, a Nigerien national held captive for three weeks was rescued during these operations. The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and urged citizens to support security agencies with credible information.
