Nigerian Army Hosts Interschool Quiz Competition in Katsina

The Nigerian Army organized an inter-school academic quiz competition in Katsina State on Wednesday, as part of its efforts to promote education and strengthen civil-military relations. The event, held at the officers' mess, featured participation from no fewer than ten secondary schools, including Natsinta, Gobarau College, and others.

Brig Gen Ishaya Ibrahim, the Brigade Commander, initiated the competition to encourage academic excellence among students. Col Neriah Yakubu, the Brigade's Chief of Staff, noted the Army's commitment to supporting programs that promote youth development.

The competition was designed to stimulate intellectual growth and inspire students to strive for excellence. At the end of the contest, Natsinta Canton emerged as the overall winner, with Gobarau College and Little Angel School taking second and third places, respectively.

The organizers expressed optimism that this competition would become an annual event, further engaging schools such as Government Day Secondary School Natsinta and Katsina College St. Martin.
