Nigerian Army Neutralizes Terrorists, Recovers Weapons

The Nigerian Army reported significant operational success in a nationwide offensive against terrorist activities over a 24-hour period. The operation resulted in the killing of three terrorists and the surrender of one family member of a terrorist.

Additionally, 20 suspects were arrested, and a substantial cache of weapons, including AK-47 rifles, G3 rifles, and machine guns, was recovered. The operation spanned multiple regions, including the North East and North West, with troops neutralizing two terrorists in Zamfara and repelling ISWAP elements in Borno.

The army also intercepted five fabric rifles and arrested a logistics supplier in Kaduna. Furthermore, the operation led to the recovery of stolen livestock, illicit drugs, and the dismantling of illegal refining sites, which dealt a heavy blow to oil theft networks.

The army's efforts also included rescuing a kidnap victim in Kogi State and recovering 58 rustled sheep, reinforcing public safety and restoring community confidence.
