Nigerian Army Rescues Kidnap Victim in Abia State

Troops from the Nigerian Army's 14 Brigade conducted a successful operation in Abia State, rescuing Mr. Onyebuchi Nwaoha, who had been abducted by armed men.

The operation was coordinated by Captain Mazinho Attah, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, and involved the 145 Battalion and the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Nigerian Police Force. The rescue operation was part of a broader initiative to enhance security across Abia State and target criminal groups, including IPOB and ESN.

The troops maintained a heavy presence along major routes and vulnerable communities, conducting intelligence-led operations in areas such as Umuahia and Arochukwu. Following the rescue, suspects were arrested for further investigation, and efforts to dismantle criminal networks in the region were emphasized.

The Nigerian Army urged residents to support security operations and report individuals involved in separatist activities to ensure peace and stability in the area.
