Army and NDLEA Arrest 28 in Yenagoa Drug Raid

On March 21, 2023, at 0900 hours, troops from the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), conducted a coordinated raid in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. This operation resulted in the arrest of 28 suspects and the recovery of substantial quantities of illicit substances.

The raid specifically targeted locations within the Tombia, Agudama, Gbaran, and Amasoma communities. The items recovered are currently in the custody of the NDLEA for further investigation and prosecution.

The military has reiterated its commitment to cracking down on drug trafficking and criminal activities within the state.
