Troops and NDLEA Arrest Drug Peddler in Yobe Raid

On March 16, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, troops from the Nigerian Army's 159 Battalion, in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and local vigilante groups, conducted a coordinated raid in the Takari General Area of Bade Local Government Area, Yobe State. The operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding illicit drug activities in the region.

During the raid, a suspected drug peddler was apprehended, and seven wraps of suspected cannabis sativa were recovered as evidence. The suspect was taken into custody for further investigation, and the seized drugs were handed over to the NDLEA for further action in line with existing laws.
