Arsenal Seeks Pay Cut from Osimhen for Transfer Deal

Arsenal is pursuing a transfer for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, with manager Mikel Arteta eager to enhance his attacking options following unsuccessful attempts to acquire Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid. Reports indicate that Arsenal has engaged in direct negotiations for Osimhen but is reluctant to meet his current salary of over €20 million (£17.1 million) annually.

The club has requested that Osimhen consider a reduction in his wage demands as a condition for the transfer. Additionally, negotiating a transfer fee presents challenges, as Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has declared that Osimhen is not for sale, evidenced by the rejection of a €130 million (£111 million) offer from Al-Hilal.
