Ashley Cole has taken on his first senior head coach position with Cesena FC, following a series of frustrations in his coaching journey after retiring from professional football. The former England international, who earned 107 caps, acknowledged feeling setbacks despite building an extensive coaching resume.

Cole has worked his way up the coaching ladder, having served as an academy assistant at Chelsea and in various roles at Derby County, Everton, and Birmingham City, often alongside notable figures like Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney. His appointment at Cesena FC is significant for Cole, who believes it provides an ideal platform to launch his head coaching career.

This move marks a return to Italy, where he previously played for Roma, and he is eager to embrace this new challenge.
