Assailants Kill Point of Sale Operator in Minna, Niger

On Monday morning, a 30-year-old point of sale operator named Aliyu Musa was brutally killed in Minna, Niger State. Reports indicate that assailants attacked Musa in the Mama area, rejecting a large sum of money offered to them.

Musa was first stabbed in the stomach and then repeatedly attacked with a machete. Neighbors, alerted by his cries for help, rushed to assist but were unable to apprehend the attackers, who fled the scene.

Musa was later taken to the Minna General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. His elder brother, Malam Ibrahim Kolo, expressed sadness over the incident and hopes for justice, believing the killers will be arrested.

The Niger State Police Command, represented by spokesman Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the attack and noted that the assailants had already escaped by the time police arrived. Investigations are ongoing, with efforts to apprehend the attackers, who are suspected of culpable homicide.
