Asuquo Triumphs in Men's 400m at MTN CHAMPS Final

On Day 3 of the MTN CHAMPS Grand Final held at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, Ezekiel Asuquo of MTN claimed victory in the senior men's 400m with a time of 46.60 seconds, finishing ahead of Jule Waiga from Benin Republic, who clocked 47.23 seconds. Wisdom Alexander secured third place with a time of 47.51 seconds, while his teammate Miracl Uwem Donald also performed well.

In the women's 400m, athletes achieved personal bests, with Joi Ayomid winning gold at 54.61 seconds and Adepoju Adedoyin taking bronze at 54.84 seconds. The junior men's 400m saw David Dominion Udoh retain his title with a lifetime best of 46.62 seconds, narrowly defeating Ghana's Kazali Iddrisu, who finished at 46.68 seconds.

The event also featured impressive performances in the junior women's 400m and various semifinals, including the men's and women's 200m heats, showcasing the depth of talent in Nigerian athletics.
