Wachiso Triumphs in Men's 400m at MTN CHAMPS

On the second day of the MTN CHAMPS held at U J Esuen Stadium in Calabar, Ethiopia's Merdekio Wold Wachiso delivered an impressive performance in the senior men's 400m, clocking a personal best of 46.64 seconds to secure victory. Team MTN's Ezekiel Asuquo finished in second place with a season's best time of 47.02 seconds, while Wisdom Alexand took third with a time of 47.37 seconds.

In the senior women's 400m, Toheebat Jimoh also from Team MTN, won with a season's best of 54.73 seconds, followed closely by her teammate Miracl Uwem Donald at 54.78 seconds, and Comfort Jame in third at 55.94 seconds. The junior men's 400m saw Michael Anich winning with a new personal best of 49.03 seconds, while Bless Sekibo achieved a significant personal best of 55.23 seconds to win the junior women's 400m title.

The event highlighted the competitive spirit and talent across various age categories.
