United Nigeria Airlines Announces Direct Flights from Lagos to New York by Mid-2026

United Nigeria Airlines, led by Chairman Professor Obiora Okonkwo, marked its 5th anniversary by revealing plans to commence direct flights from Lagos to New York by mid-2026. The airline aims to enhance its operations by acquiring 11 new aircraft, including A330-200 and 737-800 models.

These additions will support the launch of new routes to destinations like Dakar, Monrovia, and Johannesburg, with further plans to expand to Gulf states, Europe, and America by summer 2026. United Nigeria Airlines also intends to establish its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility within the next three years to improve operational efficiency.

The airline's growth strategy includes focusing on passenger experience, investing in modern aircraft, and expanding its network through strategic alliances.
