TASG Season 3 Celebrates Young Athletes in Lagos

The third season of the TASG (Track and Field School Games) celebrated the resilience and talent of young athletes, with 700 participants from Lagos schools competing in various events. Dr.

Seun Akinbohun, the founder, emphasized the importance of the event in nurturing grassroots sports and providing a platform for aspiring athletes to represent Nigeria in major competitions like the Commonwealth Games and African Championships. Olamitutu Lawal from Owonifari Grand School in Ikeja won a gold medal in long jump, achieving a distance of 4.81m.

Other athletes, such as Aidan Dumuj, showcased their skills in swimming and track events. Jesudemilad Ojo from International School Lagos highlighted the teamwork and grit experienced during the competition, finishing fifth with motivation to pursue a professional athletic career.

Parents, including Wale Ojo, expressed their support for their children's athletic endeavors, reinforcing the community spirit that TASG fosters among schools.
