Atiku Accuses Obasanjo of Lies in Political Feud

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of engaging in a 20-year campaign of "lies, political manipulation and orchestrated deceit" against him. This accusation follows Obasanjo's recent claim that Atiku mobilized the late Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba, to remove him from office during their tenure from 1999 to 2007.

Atiku's Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, stated that Obasanjo's allegations are baseless and malicious, particularly since Na’Abba, who passed away in 2023, cannot defend himself. Ibe referenced former House of Representatives member Abubakar Bwari, who contradicted Obasanjo's claims, stating that Na’Abba never sought Obasanjo’s removal and that Atiku acted as an emissary for Obasanjo.

Additionally, Ibe cited a video of Orji Uzor Kalu, who claimed Atiku knelt before PDP governors to seek support for Obasanjo’s re-election, countering the narrative that Obasanjo had to kneel to secure Atiku's support.
