Atiku Commends Court for Upholding ADC Leadership

Atiku Abubakar praised the judiciary for its courage in upholding David Mark's leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following a ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja. The court, presided over by Justice Liman, dismissed a suit challenging Mark's leadership, stating that it lacked jurisdiction as the plaintiff had neither exhausted internal remedies provided by the party's constitution nor established the necessary standing to invoke the court's jurisdiction.

Atiku described the ruling as a victory for democracy and the rule of law, highlighting that it reaffirms the legal principles governing political parties and internal disputes. He urged party members to remain calm and united, focusing on the larger task of addressing Nigeria's economic hardships and insecurity.

Atiku's statement, issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Frank Shaibu, emphasized that the judiciary remains a crucial hope for the common man against political intimidation and manipulation.
