Atiku Abubakar Critiques Tinubu's Security Strategy

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, criticized President Bola Tinubu's security strategy after the death of former House of Representatives member Abba Adamu, who was reportedly kidnapped by bandits along the Abuja-Kaduna highway on May 3 and died in captivity nine days later. In a statement issued in Abuja by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Abubakar described the incident as a grim reflection of the worsening insecurity across Nigeria.

He stated that Adamu's death is not just a personal tragedy but an indictment of the government's failure to protect lives and property. Abubakar emphasized that the current administration appears overwhelmed and indifferent to the dangers facing the nation, particularly along the notorious Abuja-Kaduna corridor.

He criticized the government's inadequate response to the ongoing kidnappings and called for decisive leadership and coherent actions to address the security crisis affecting ordinary Nigerians.
