Oseni Warns Tinubu to Caution Against Wike's Tactics

Rufai Oseni, an anchor at Arise Television, advised President Bola Tinubu to exercise caution in his political dealings with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Oseni's remarks followed Wike's assertion during a media chat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, that he would be a target for opposition politicians, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, if Tinubu fails to win re-election in 2027.

Oseni questioned Wike's fears of being witch-hunted by Abubakar or Obi, suggesting that Wike's actions as governor, which allegedly prevented Abubakar from campaigning in Rivers State, could be the reason for his apprehension. He warned Tinubu that Wike has a history of falling out with political allies and could disclose sensitive information about their relationship if they were to part ways.

Oseni referenced Wike's previous criticisms of godfatherism, particularly during the political crisis involving former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
