Atiku Abubakar Warns of Plot Against ADC in Elections

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has raised concerns about a fresh plot aimed at keeping the ADC off the ballot for the 2027 general elections. He claims that there are attempts by "desperate elements" within the ruling party to manipulate the democratic process and deny Nigerians their right to freely choose their next president.

Atiku disclosed that he received credible information indicating renewed efforts to use political and legal machinery to exclude the ADC from participating in the elections. He called on Nigerians, not just ADC members, to support the party as a credible alternative and to reject any attempts by the ruling party to cherry-pick opposition parties.

Additionally, Rotimi Amaechi accused politicians of stealing result sheets at polling units, putting the lives of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff at risk. He urged youth to ensure that votes are counted and to resist electoral manipulation.
