Atiku Abubakar Alleges Plot Against ADC for 2027 Elections

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, has alleged a conspiracy to exclude the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the 2027 general elections. In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku claimed to have received credible information about political and legal maneuvers aimed at keeping the ADC off the ballot.

He warned that such attempts represent a grave assault on Nigeria's democracy and deny citizens the opportunity to freely choose their next president. Atiku emphasized that the ADC's growing popularity poses a credible alternative, and he urged Nigerians to resist these political machinations.

He accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being terrified of the ADC's potential success and expressed hope that the alleged plot would not materialize. Atiku called on the judiciary and the Independent National Electoral Commission to remain neutral and resist political pressure, asserting that the sovereignty of the people must prevail over any conspiratorial attempts to manipulate the electoral process.
