Atiku Abubakar Wins ADC Presidential Primaries in Kano

Atiku Abubakar emerged victorious in the ADC presidential primaries held in Kano, where he garnered a total of 155,595 votes. His closest competitor, Moham Hayatu Deen, received 15,914 votes, while Rotimi Amaechi secured 9,994 votes.

The announcement was made by Dr. John Ayuba, the chairman of the electoral committee, who confirmed that the exercise was conducted across 44 local government areas and 484 wards in the state. The results will be transmitted to the party's national coalition in Abuja for final ratification and official declaration of Atiku as the flag bearer.

Dr. Ayuba urged party members to remain united and work towards producing Nigeria's next president. Additionally, the party has suspended the announcement of the governorship primary results in Kano pending a decision from the national leadership regarding a consensus arrangement to determine its candidate.
