Atiku's Aide Responds to Shehu Sani on ADC Court Ruling

Paul Ibe, the media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, criticized Shehu Sani's remarks following a Federal High Court ruling that affirmed the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) under David Mark. The ruling, delivered by Justice Musa Liman, dismissed a suit filed by Leke Abejide challenging the party's leadership, stating that the matter lacked merit and was non-justiciable regarding internal party affairs.

Ibe's comments, made on Thursday, countered Sani's assertion that the court's decision favored Mark against Nafiu and suggested that the judiciary's role was to protect the common man. Ibe argued that Sani's assessment of the judiciary was misguided and that the ruling was a legitimate preservation of President Bola Tinubu's electoral mandate.

The court's decision also addressed preliminary objections raised by the ADC regarding the legal standing of the suit.
