Atilola Mofifun, Zara Adegok Triumph at Tennis Tournament

The Tennista Foundation Junior Tennis Tournament, held at the Lagos Country Club, showcased budding tennis talent over three days, featuring 60 players across various categories. Atilola Mofifun emerged victorious in the U16 category, while Zara Adegok won the U12 category, defeating Akpan Merci with scores of 4-1, 4-2.

Other notable performances included Moham Naseer and Rafael Boi in the boys' divisions. Michael Nwoseh, president of the Tennista Foundation, highlighted improvements in this year's tournament, including increased participation and better infrastructure.

Lekan Fatodu, Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, emphasized the importance of sports in youth development, noting that the tournament serves as a platform for nurturing talent and reducing social vices among young people. Winners received educational grants, new tennis rackets, and school bags, reinforcing the foundation's commitment to supporting young athletes in their tennis journey.
