Onjeh Defends Governor Alia's Re-election Amid Criticism

Daniel Onjeh, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), issued a statement on Sunday dismissing criticisms against Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, asserting that such attacks will not prevent Benue voters from re-electing him. Onjeh described the criticisms as desperate political maneuvers by opponents who realize that the political tide is shifting in favor of Alia.

He rejected claims that a group has taken control of the APC structure in the state, calling these assertions baseless. Onjeh reaffirmed that Chief Benjamin Omal remains the recognized state chairman of the APC and urged party members to disregard contrary claims.

He highlighted the governor's achievements and called for patience from residents as development unfolds. Onjeh also emphasized the need for unity within the party and expressed optimism for a peaceful and crisis-free tenure ahead, urging support for Alia's re-election bid.
