Auwalu Rano Revolutionizes Nigerian Oil Sector with Automated Fuel Station

Auwalu Rano, a prominent figure in Nigeria's energy landscape, founded Rano Group in 2002 after entering the oil and gas sector in 1994. The company has over 200 retail outlets and a fleet of 600 trucks, with headquarters in Kano.

Rano has recently invested in a state-of-the-art tank farm in Lagos and a substantial LPG facility, along with acquiring a new vessel. His focus on expanding infrastructure and enhancing service capabilities includes plans to launch Nigeria's first fully automated unmanned fuel station in January 2026.

This innovative project, in partnership with Petrosoft Limited, will utilize cutting-edge technology for 24/7 self-service fueling with AI-driven digital control and remote monitoring capabilities. The system aims to enhance customer convenience, minimize losses, ensure transparency, and improve operational efficiency in a competitive market.
