NCAA Engineers Reject NAAE Leadership's TSC Review Stance

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority chapter of the National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE), led by Chairman Agunloye Fredrick, has publicly distanced itself from comments made by the national leadership regarding the proposed review of the Ticket Sales Charge (TSC) sharing formula. In a communiqué issued on Thursday, the chapter stated that it was neither consulted nor represented in the national position.

The communiqué criticized the lack of consultation among members across aviation agencies before the public statement was made. The NCAA chapter asserted that the TSC is a statutory levy collected from airline passengers, which is crucial for the operational sustainability of various aviation agencies.

It highlighted that the NCAA relies on TSC allocations for regulatory activities, including safety surveillance and compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization standards. The chapter firmly dissociated itself from the national leadership's publication, asserting that it should not be interpreted as the collective position of all NAAE members.
