Aviation unions suspend planned strike after Keyamo’s intervention

Aviation unions have decided to suspend their planned strike following the intervention of Minister of Aviation Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo. The strike, which was scheduled to commence on Monday, has been shelved after the ministry's intervention.

The National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP), and Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUCPTRE) issued a joint statement announcing the suspension. Keyamo expressed that the relationship with the labour leaders has made it easier to engage in talks and find a lasting solution to the pending issues in the aviation sector.

He assured that the issues would be resolved one by one, showing good faith and commitment to resolving the sector's challenges.
