NYSC DG Advises Corps Members Against Flamboyant Lifestyles

Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), addressed corps members at the Kaduna State temporary orientation camp in Kurmi Mashi, Kaduna. He urged them to avoid flamboyant lifestyles and live within their means, emphasizing the importance of cultivating saving habits.

Nafiu encouraged corps members to acquire new skills through the NYSC's skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development program, which aims to enable self-employment and job creation. He mentioned that various stakeholders would support corps members with low-interest loans and business grants.

Nafiu stressed the significance of using time wisely, urging corps members to start small businesses and gradually grow them. Mr.

Efek Dadaza, the NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, reported that there are 2,896 corps members in the camp, comprising 2,198 deployed to Kaduna State and 698 dislodged from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
