Permanent transfer to Coventry City has been completed by Taiwo Awoniyi, departing Nottingham Forest in a deal worth roughly £9 million. The 29-year-old striker for Nigeria's Super Eagles finalized his move on Monday, bringing an end to his four-year tenure at the City Ground.
As Coventry City prepares for its return to England's top division following promotion, the newly elevated side has confirmed this signing as part of their squad reinforcement efforts. In his debut season at the club, he netted 11 goals, showcasing his capabilities within the Premier League. The striker has spoken positively regarding his transfer to Coventry, where he intends to support the club's top-flight ambitions.
His signing bolsters the attacking options available to Coventry as they embark on their top-division campaign following promotion from the Championship.
