Super Falcons Triumph 3-1 Over Cameroon in Revenge Match

The Super Falcons, under the guidance of coach Justin Madugu, secured a 3-1 victory against Cameroon in a revenge match held at the Military Stadium in Yaoundé. The match marked the end of their two-match tour, where they aimed to overcome a previous defeat.

Cameroon initially took the lead in the seventh minute, but the Super Falcons responded emphatically. Rasheedat Babajid floated a cross that Chinwendu Ihezuo headed into the net in the 32nd minute, leveling the score.

Just two minutes before halftime, Babajid scored after a scramble in the Cameroon box, giving Nigeria a 2-1 lead. Michel Alozi extended the lead with a header from Babajid's cross in the 64th minute, sealing the 3-1 win.

The Super Falcons are set to participate in the 14th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) scheduled to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3.
