Bala Tinka Wins ADC Governorship Ticket in Gombe

Bala Tinka has clinched the governorship ticket for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe, following the primary elections held on Monday. Tinka emerged as the ADC candidate for the governorship seat and expressed his appreciation for the confidence shown by party members.

He pledged to uphold this trust and provide leadership aimed at executing people-oriented projects. Tinka previously contested for the senatorial ticket representing Gombe North under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2022 but lost to Said Ahmad Alkali.

He also faced defeat against former governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo. Tinka's emergence as the ADC candidate marks a significant shift in Gombe's political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections, as he aims to build on the political structure established by Dankwambo's campaign group in 2015.
