Folarin Balogun, a striker for the US Men's National Team, is in pursuit of the Golden Boot award at the World Cup, having already netted two goals in the tournament. He expressed admiration for elite players such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé, acknowledging the difficulty of competing against them.

Balogun, born in New York and part of the English football system, previously played for Arsenal and was the top scorer in Ligue 1 last season with 19 goals. He transferred for €40 million.
