Sokoto LG Chairman Consoles Bargaja Residents After Attack

Sharehu Kamarawa, the chairman of Isa Local Government Area in Sokoto State, consoled residents of Bargaja Village after a recent bandit attack that deeply affected the community. In a statement issued on Sunday, Kamarawa described the incident as unfortunate and expressed sympathy for the families impacted.

He noted that the area, located along the Sokoto-Zamfara border, has experienced recurrent attacks by armed bandits in recent years. Kamarawa reassured residents that security agencies have intensified operations to protect the community and prevent further attacks, having successfully repelled several attempts by bandits in the past week.

He raised concerns about misinformation circulating on social media regarding the attacks, alleging that some individuals, including certain politicians, are exaggerating the situation to destabilize the state. Kamarawa urged community leaders and social media users to verify information before sharing and emphasized the need for unity and cooperation in the fight against banditry to sustain peace in the community.
