Bauchi Governor Declares Forests Free of Bandits

Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, declared that there are no longer bandits hiding in the forests of Bauchi following sustained military operations aimed at clearing criminal groups from the area. This statement was made during the Eid el-Fitr durbar held at Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu Square in Bauchi.

The governor highlighted recent attacks in communities, including Mansur Gwana in the Alkaleri Local Government Area, which raised security concerns among residents. He praised the Nigerian military and security agencies for their role in stabilizing the affected areas and restoring calm.

Governor Mohammed urged residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies by providing information. He also sought forgiveness from the people of Bauchi State as his administration approaches the end of its second term next year, assuring citizens that ongoing projects in healthcare, education, and road construction will continue until the end of his tenure.
