Bandits Kill One, Injure Three in Zamfara Community Attack

In a recent incident in Zamfara, bandits attacked a community, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to three others. According to Yazid Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, the victims sustained varying degrees of bullet wounds when the bandits opened fire during an attempt to rustle cattle belonging to residents.

Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives responded immediately and engaged the bandits in a gun duel, which forced the assailants to flee into the bush. Some of the bandits were suspected to have sustained bullet wounds and abandoned the rustled cattle.

The police successfully recovered the cattle and returned them to their rightful owner. The injured victims were promptly evacuated to a hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Ahmad Muhammad Bello, the Commissioner of Police in the state, reassured the public of the command's commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Zamfara and urged residents to remain vigilant and continue supporting security agencies with credible information regarding criminal activities.
