Igboho Launches Iru Ekun Security Network in Kwara

On Thursday, during the inauguration of the Iru Ekun Security Network at Igbomina House in Ilorin, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, announced the formation of this security outfit in Kwara State. He declared that the forests would no longer be safe havens for bandits and kidnappers.

The initiative responds to rising insecurity, particularly in rural areas near forests, where criminal activities have disrupted economic activities and instilled fear among residents. Igboho stated that the security network would collaborate with existing security agencies to restore safety in affected communities.

He vowed to flush out criminals hiding in the forests, specifically targeting Babanla, identified as a bandit stronghold. Igboho addressed concerns regarding Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's stance on his visit, asserting that the governor shares concerns about security challenges.

He emphasized that the Iru Ekun Security Network aims to complement, not compete with, conventional security forces, working within legal frameworks to combat insecurity.
