Sunday Igboho Launches Security Network in Kwara State

On Thursday, Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, launched the Iru Ekun Security Network in Ilorin, Kwara State, declaring its mission to reclaim the state's forests from bandits. He stated that the organization was established to support government efforts and conventional security agencies in addressing kidnapping, banditry, and other violent crimes.

Igboho announced that operations would commence in Babanla and Eruku, areas significantly impacted by insecurity. He asserted that the presence of the Iru Ekun Security Network has already unsettled criminals.

Igboho clarified that the outfit is not intended to replace the police or other security forces but to enhance their efforts. He called on local youths to assist in identifying and exposing criminal elements, stressing accountability within communities.

Igboho dismissed claims that the network targets Fulani people, asserting that its focus is solely on criminal activities, regardless of the perpetrators' ethnic backgrounds.
