Bandits Threaten New Attack on Kwara Community

Reports indicate that bandits are regrouping to launch another attack on the Oro Ago community in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State. This warning comes from credible intelligence sources, prompting security agencies to place the area on red alert.

The threat follows a recent incident where eight worshippers from the ECWA Church were abducted, with three of them managing to escape. The bandits have demanded a ransom of N1 billion for the release of the remaining five captives, which includes the wife of the pastor of the church.

The bandits reportedly rejected an earlier offer of N1 million from the community, which insists on the complete release of the abducted individuals. As of the time of the report, there has been no official reaction from security agencies regarding the situation.
