Bank of America VP Erin Piacenti Killed in NYC Stabbing

Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old vice president of Bank of America, was killed in a stabbing incident at Times Square in New York City on Monday. Piacenti worked in the bank’s business selection and conflicts unit.

The attack also left another person injured. Bank of America confirmed her death in a statement issued to Reuters on Tuesday, expressing shock and sadness over the loss of their valued employee.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani reported that a woman armed with several knives attacked two individuals at Times Square. The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed that Piacenti suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that preliminary findings indicated the attacks appeared to be random and unprovoked. The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros, was killed by police officers responding to the incident.

Investigations by the NYPD Force Investigation Division are ongoing. Piacenti’s death occurred near Bank of America’s Manhattan office located at One Bryant Park.
