Barau Jibrin Endorses Rabiu Bichi for Deputy Governor

Barau Jibrin, the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has publicly endorsed Rabiu Bichi for the role of deputy governor. This endorsement was made in a statement issued by Abdullahi Abba, emphasizing that Bichi's nomination is a strategic move to enhance unity within the party, particularly in the North West region.

The statement highlighted Bichi's extensive experience, including his roles as managing director of the Urban Development Bank of Nigeria and managing director of KNUPDA, as well as his service in the secretariat of the state government under two administrations. The APC Legacy Group, represented by Salisu Gwangwazo, noted that Bichi's emergence is crucial for consolidating cohesion among APC members in Kano ahead of future political contests.

The deputy governor's position became vacant following the resignation of Aminu Gwarzo due to political differences with Governor Abba Yusuf, prompting intensified consultations among APC stakeholders to present a capable candidate to stabilize the party's dynamics in Kano's evolving political landscape.
