FC Barcelona announced the cancellation of their pre-season friendly match against Moroccan club Ittihad Riadi Tangier, which was set to take place on August 15. Barcelona stated that the match would be inappropriate given the current uncertainties. Barcelona is expected to continue their preparations with upcoming fixtures, including a match against Nottingham Forest in Udine, Italy, and against Egyptian side Al Ahly on August 19. They will begin their La Liga title defense on August 23 against Elche.
