INEC Confirms Shehu Buba as PRP Candidate for Bauchi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognized Senator Shehu Buba Umar as the governorship candidate for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Bauchi for the upcoming 2027 general election. This confirmation, published in accordance with Section 29(3) of the 2026 Electoral Act, clarifies the authenticity of the PRP's governorship ticket and its candidates for the deputy governorship and Bauchi State House of Assembly.

Shehu Buba expressed that this milestone brings clarity to the party's preparations for the elections. He called for unity among party members and stakeholders, emphasizing a campaign focused on issues affecting the people of Bauchi State.

Buba outlined his commitment to a development agenda prioritizing technology-driven education, health sector revitalization, job creation, and a supportive environment for youth and women. He also proposed strategies for community policing to enhance security.
