Bauchi Police Arrest Four in Two Homicide Cases

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested four suspects in connection with two separate homicide cases that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. SP Nafiu Habib reported that on July 25, Al-Amin Hamisu Gidado, 21, was arrested for the stabbing of 25-year-old Zahradeen Dan’Azumi Tanko, with an accomplice, Yahaya Mu’azu, still at large.

The victim was taken to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The investigation has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further action.

In a second case, on July 21, police were informed about the death of 51-year-old Monday Chiroma, who was attacked on July 20 over accusations of witchcraft related to the death of a 20-year-old woman, Jamila Anthony. Three suspects—Danjuma Anthony, 25; Ayuba Anthony, 22; and Christopher Adamu, 34—were arrested and confessed during interrogation.

Both cases are under investigation, with efforts ongoing to apprehend additional suspects.
