Bauchi Police Arrest Three for Motorcycle Armed Robbery

On June 19, 2026, the Bauchi State Police Command arrested three suspects in connection with an alleged armed robbery involving a motorcycle theft. The primary suspect, 25-year-old Alhaji Muhammad Umar Alia Jijji, was apprehended after a covert operation following a report made to the Alkaleri Police Division on March 7, 2026.

During interrogation, Alia Jijji disclosed the names of two accomplices, leading to the swift arrest of 45-year-old Usman M. Gidado and 35-year-old Danladi Yakubu Alia, both from Gwaram Town.

The motorcycle, which belonged to a deceased victim, was recovered during the operation. The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Bauchi for thorough investigation, and they will be charged in court.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sani Omolori Aliyu, reassured residents of the command's commitment to tackling violent crime and ensuring justice for victims.
