Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri Targets Illicit Drug Structures

On Thursday, during the 42nd State Security Council meeting held at the Government House in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri emphasized the government's commitment to combating illicit drug activities. He announced plans to demolish structures identified as hideouts for drug dealers, particularly in the Aboki Quarter of Yenizu Gene.

The governor instructed security agencies to take immediate action against any locations identified as centers for drug-related crimes. He commended the swift operations of the security forces and noted that the government would not tolerate the establishment of drug havens that harm vulnerable youth and destroy lives.

The demolition of these structures is part of a broader initiative to enhance security and public safety in the state. Governor Diri's administration is actively working with the police and the State Security Service to ensure the successful execution of these operations.
