Bayelsa PDP Elects Alabh Turnah as New State Chairman

On a Saturday, a faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State elected Alabh Turnah as the new state chairman during a congress held at the party's newly commissioned secretariat complex. The election was monitored by an independent panel led by Austin Sor, who commended the party members for their peaceful conduct throughout the process.

A 20-member state working committee was also elected, which includes Ato Alfred Ebibofayei as secretary and Biobelemoyei Goniwari as treasurer. Turnah expressed gratitude to the delegates and assured party members of a dedicated and committed leadership.

He emphasized the PDP's determination to reclaim governance in Bayelsa State and maintain its status as the dominant political force in the region. Turnah also promised an inclusive leadership style and an open-door administration, aiming to strengthen the party's position in future elections.
